Selous Game Reserve is an immense area of protected wilderness that has remained untouched for thousands of years, explore this park on a day trip starting from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam. The Selous is the largest game reserve and one of the favorite game viewing areas in Africa. Covering a total area of about 54,600 km2 (21,081 sq. miles), almost 6% of Tanzania’s land surface, is amongst the largest protected wet wilderness areas in Africa, “SELOUS GAME RESERVE” located in the South of Tanzania and four times the size of Serengeti. The Selous game reserve is the size of Switzerland.
Your day begins with an early morning flight from Zanzibar to Selous Game Reserve. Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar and drive you to Zanzibar Airport.
Upon your arrival at the airport, complete the check-in process and board your flight to Selous Game Reserve.
Upon landing at Selous, your experienced guide will lead you on a safari game drive through the reserve. Selous Game Reserve is known for its remarkable wildlife diversity, including lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and a multitude of bird species. Be prepared to witness the splendors of the African wilderness up close.

The best time for a day trip to Selous Game Reserve from Zanzibar is during the dry season, which usually falls between July to March.
